I can’t change what happened, but I know it doesn’t define me.

Tanya’s first contact with Aviva was through the 0800 support line when she reached out for help for herself and her children. This is her story.

Aviva a Finalist for Kiwibank New Zealander of the Year

“We see this as acknowledgement of not just the current team at Aviva, but even more importantly, those we have worked with to overcome the violence they have experienced."

An update on Ki Te Tihi/ The Loft

If you have been following local news over the last few months, you might have seen some worrying headlines about The Loft/Ki Te Tihi. There is no reason to assume that the cut to The Loft’s funding will directly impact Aviva’s services or mean that we need to relocate.

"Just knowing that there's someone who understands, someone who'll listen... knowing that you're not alone, that there's somebody who cares, it makes a huge difference; all the difference. Thanks to Aviva, I knew I wasn't alone, and I found hope again. In addition to this, being an ambassador as part of the youth evaluation, has taught me great personal skills, like confidence, as well as given me the opportunity to give back those who helped me in my time of need."
