Re-opening our doors for Level 2

The Loft

Kia ora koutou,

This is an update for our clients and supporters, to let you know how we will be operating under Level 2.

As of today (Monday 18 May), our staff will be transitioning back into the office, situated at The Loft, Eastgate Mall. To put everyone at ease, and to ensure there are no surprises, please read below how we plan to operate under this ‘new normal’.

The Loft

Strict hygiene practices will be upheld, with regular wiping down of high-contact surfaces, such as door handles. The Loft’s walk-in service will be fully operating under Level 2, and Aviva will hold booked face to face consultations with clients at the Loft. However, we will continue to meet with other clients online, and via phone where appropriate. The majority of chairs have been removed from our reception area, to allow for appropriate physical distancing. Toilet facilities are available opposite the entrance to the Loft, at Eastgate Mall.

Appointments at The Loft

All visitors to The Loft will be asked to sign a contact tracing register; this will be stored securely and treated with the strictest confidence. Client rooms will be cleaned with antibacterial spray after every appointment, and chairs will be spaced apart. If you’re visiting Aviva at The Loft, we will call you the morning of your appointment, to confirm how many people are coming, and check that you are well. If you’re feeling unwell, we would ask that you reschedule your appointment. Please arrive on time for your appointment, but not early, because waiting room space will be limited.

Off-site appointments & transporting clients

Off-site appointments, where staff may visit you in your home, will only take place when absolutely necessary. Prior to the appointment, you will be asked to confirm who will be present and how much space there will be, to allow for physical distancing. Offering lifts for appointments etc. will only take place if absolutely necessary, and if you are feeling unwell, unfortunately we will not be able to visit or transport you.

Group programmes and training

At present, we cannot confirm when these will resume at The Loft. If you are already registered, you will be contacted soon. We know that this is very different and a lot to adjust to – it is for us, too. But rest assured, we are as committed to your safety and protection as ever and we’re still here for you.

Ngā mihi,

The team at Aviva
