Collect for Aviva's Virtual Street Appeal

Dog with Aviva nametag and Aviva donation collection bucket

This weekend, volunteers were set to take to the streets of Canterbury to collect donations for Aviva's Annual Street Appeal. Due to COVID-19, we are no longer able to do so. In its place, we will be holding a Virtual Street Appeal on the same dates of 1 & 2 May. Follow the simple steps below to become a collector:

  1. On 1 May, add a frame to your Facebook profile picture here.
Edit the size and position of your profile photo within the frame. Set a time for your profile picture to return to normal, such as Sunday morning.

  2. Post a link to Aviva's Give A Little page (https://givealittle.co.nz/cause/aviva-charitable-trust).
All donations made before the 4th of May will be doubled by the Vodafone Foundation.

  3. Add a picture to show you are collecting, such as a picture of yourself collecting in the past or how you might collect today. You can use the picture to the right. Just right click and copy-paste the image into your post.

  4. Include a message about why you are collecting for Aviva.
Copy-paste the template below or write your own message.

This weekend, I would have been out collecting donations for @Aviva Families family and sexual violence services as part of their Annual Street Appeal. But under Level 3, it's important that we continue to stay home and keep people safe as much as possible. However, those experiencing violence continue to need our support now more than ever. Please take a moment to donate to Aviva at https://givealittle.co.nz/cause/aviva-charitable-trust. Through the 4th of May, every dollar you give will be doubled by the Vodafone Foundation.

  5. Tag Aviva using @Aviva Families.

  6. If you don't have Facebook, you can still share the message on other social networking sites, like Linkedin or Instagram.

Thank you for all your support during this time of need!
