A mother and daughter wearing Aviva vests hold Aviva collection buckets for a selfie.We are looking for collectors for our 2023 Annual Street Appeal on Friday 5th and Saturday 6th May. All funds raised will support Aviva's family and sexual violence services.

Street Collectors need to be able to:

  • Collect for at least one hour on either the Friday or the Saturday;
  • Transport themselves to and from their assigned collection site;
  • Return their collections to Aviva or a designated return site within one week of the Appeal;
  • Answer basic questions on Aviva services (training and information sheets available upon request); and
  • Be friendly and personable while representing Aviva

We have collection sites available in Christchurch, Rolleston/Lincoln/Prebbleton, and Rangiora/Kaiapoi/Woodend from 9am-6pm on both days. Additional areas such as Ashburton or Amberley may be available upon request.

Volunteers will be provided with an Aviva vest, bucket and collection materials, and assigned a site based on their time and location preferences.

Register your interest here and mark your calendar. Aviva will follow-up with site assignments and times in April.

If you have any questions or need to confirm your collection point earlier, please contact us at community@aviva.org.nz.

Group Collections

Some schools, community groups, and workplaces like to organise group collections. Where they claim a single site for a set period of time and arrange collectors within that time frame. If this sounds like something you'd like to do, contact community@aviva.org.nz.
